When you cannot find what you’re looking for, design it!
During this kitchen renovation there were many design challenges, also referred to as opportunities. The beautiful butcherblock prep island needed legs. There were enough wooden elements already tied to this project, so adding wooded legs seemed redundant. Keeping with the industrial vibe of the project allowed for gas piping as a natural choice. The size and scale of the piping along with the proper height for the footrail were important to the functionality of the design. The larger black flanges secured the legs but also added to the design. The final design was not only functional but ascetically made this prep island a showstopper in the renovation project.
