Choosing a backsplash can make all the difference in a design project. I’ve always said there cannot be two pretty girls in the room! The countertop and the backslash cannot be competing for who’s the prettiest. 🙂
In this case, the leathered black granite took the back seat and let the showstopper be the terracotta white glazed subway tile with black grout. The tiles also have beautiful imprinted designs on a few of the tiles which are sporadically placed throughout the backsplash to bring texture and visual interest. The combination of functional countertops, with a beautiful leathered texture, coupled with the unusual twists of scattered patterned tiles, made this project stand out from the typical subway backsplash.
